Electron Planter on Speckled Clay (5 in / 12 cm) #1

Planter on Speckled Clay

4.5 x  5 inches (tall x wide),
11 x 12 cm (tall x wide)

This piece was thrown by me on a pottery wheel using a speckled clay.  After the initial bisque firing, I apply a pattern with thin detailing tape by hand over many (many) hours. Layers of a white glaze are brushed on the surface, the tape removed, another round of cleanup, and then the final firing to over 2,000 degrees F (1,090 C).  

This piece comes with the drip plate shown and there is a drainage hole in the bottom of the planter.
