Paradox Planter on Red Clay 7 in / 18 cm Wide

5 x 7 inches (tall x wide),

13 x 18 cm (tall x wide)

This piece was thrown by me on a pottery wheel using a smooth red clay.  After the initial bisque firing, I apply a pattern with thin detailing tape by hand over many (many) hours. Layers of a white glaze are brushed on the surface, the tape removed, another round of cleanup, and then the final firing to over 2,000 degrees F (1,090 C).  

This piece comes with the drip plate shown and there is a drainage hole in the bottom of the planter.
